Welcome to Madre Luna Belly Dance Design. My obsession with silk began the night my dance instructor opened her "bag of tricks" to reveal the soft colorful fabric of her silk veils. I remember the crisp chill on my skin as the veil slid over my shoulder, and the excitement of learning such a beautiful part of bellydance. That excitement has never wavered and became a need to create new colors and patterns, I am an artist after all!?

 I have been dying silk since 2006, and the passion for it has not wavered. My very patient husband has learned that dinner sometimes comes in a cardboard box, but doesn't mind because he knows how important it is to me. I have been so excited to have dancers send me pictures of themselves? in my silks. I am always amazed at the things they can do with my silk.
